Inspired by architecture, sports, or the world of the circus, Guillaume MARTIAL conducts artistic research on space and its physical appropriation. He develops a photographic practice at the intersection of staging and performance. Like a dancer playing with his environment, Guillaume MARTIAL creates visual narratives by interpreting fictional characters in real settings. The manipulation of space by this image magician enchants us by offering new ways of inhabiting the world. His playful and poetic works humorously and subtly question how humans appropriate space through architectural and landscape traces.
